The crop top is a style that has made an appearance throughout more seasons than I thought it would and one that took me some time to accept. Fortunately this style no longer calls for showing off your entire midsection like it did back in the ’90s. With high waisted skirts, pants, and shorts likewise making a comeback, the crop top is typically now sported with just a modest touch of skin. When paired with a high waisted bottom, not only does this lend to a more conservative look, it also balances the proportions of the smaller top with a longer bottom.
In this particular outfit, I paired a graphic cropped tee with a bold print in a similar color scheme. Too dramatic for you or still hesitant that the crop top won’t work for your body type? Stick to solid colors or even try layering a tighter fitting cropped sweater over a longer button-up top.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
