For a long time I wore strictly pencil skirts, until about a year ago, when I discovered the flattering A-line skirt. I was browsing a local boutique in Sacramento and tried one on on a whim. Now I can’t get enough of them! I love that even though they have a ’60s feel, they are still so timeless. And the best part about A-line skirts is that they accentuate the waist, which is great for any body type.
There are a variety of length options, some shorter for those casual summer parties and some longer for an office appropriate look. A fitted top or a tucked in crisp button-up is the safe option to pair with the A-line, to give you that flattering figure. I like a baggier top but this takes a little more care in the choice of top to avoid a frumpy look. A looser crop top or slightly tucked in tee or sweater can make for more unique options. As far as shoes, a cute sneaker can be a fun combo with a shorter A-line skirt, but I prefer a heel or wedge worn with longer A-lines.
What other ideas do you have for wearing the A-line skirt trend?
