Happy Monday everyone! How was your weekend? I was puppy sitting for a friend, which made me want a dog that much more! Maybe after I’m done with grad school. Sigh. My friend’s dog is so stinkin’ cute! To follow my adventures with Lucille Ball (yes, that’s the name of the dog), visit my Instagram.
This look is another favorite for me. What better time to break out your floral prints than the summer? This is definitely one trend that you’ll be seeing me wear a lot of in these upcoming summer months. There are many variations of floral prints from more traditional to abstract, like this one in my outfit. I don’t have a preference between the two, as my style is more eclectic, but there are options depending on the look that you are going more, classic or more modern. Floral prints also exist in a variety of types of clothing. Tops, dresses, pants, and skirts – you name it and it comes in floral!
I really like the look of florals paired with a darker color, like this skirt, which leads to a more bold look. Also, for those of you that are going to any festivals this year, floral prints are the perfect way to capture that bohemian look. See this previous post for other ideas on how to achieve a little bohemian flair. Still skeptical of going full on floral print but open to adding a touch of it to your ensemble? Instead try out a flower headband, statement necklace, or small brooch.
What are your thoughts on floral prints? Thanks for reading!
