While many have adopted the concept that “leopard is the new black” or “neutral is the new black” (both of which I love by the way), there really is nothing quite as chic as the color black itself. An all-black outfit is so versatile both in the occasions that it can be worn and how the pieces can be put to use in other looks. Because black is such a staple color, we all have some in our wardrobe already, making this an easy look to pull off.
A lot of the all-black fashion coming off the runway is anything but basic. The key to making your black outfit stand out is by playing with the fabric textures of the different pieces making up your monochromatic look. Try mixing any combination of denim, faux fur, sheer fabrics, lace, knits, and leather. This outfit is bit a bit more daring with the torn jeans and sweater with cutouts. But you can also put all of those classic pieces to use such as your peacoat and button-up top in order to create a head-to-toe black look. And to brighten your outfit and make it more spring appropriate, add some pops of white!
Hope you all have a fabulous weekend!
